Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas told “The Faulkner Focus” Tuesday that he foresees Virginia acting as a “canary in the coal mine” like in 2009, saying a Republican victory will foretell a GOP “revolution” in the 2022 midterms.

TED CRUZ: I think Virginia is a very important canary in a coal mine. When you go back to 2009,, when Barack Obama was elected, he adopted extreme policies and Dodd-Frank. The reaction was so strong that Virginia became the first coal mine canary. This was before the Republican revolution, where the US regained Congress. This was an incredibly significant moment and the current dynamic is very similar.
