Sean Hannity cautioned Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell not to offer any assistance to “radical leftist Democrats” who want to spend $5 trillion for what they call “human capital” Wednesday on “Hannity.”
Hannity noted Democratic Sens. Kyrsten Sinema from Arizona and Joe Manchin III, West Virginia, haven’t signed onto the larger socioeconomic expenditure overhaul bill. However, Hannity noted that McConnell might be offering some protection to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer in New York by offering a temporary debt ceiling rise.
“This problem is on the Democrats and Mitch McConnell needs to quit being “a hostage” to government shutdown rhetoric, said Hannity.
McConnell claimed that offer would “moot Democrats’ excuses about the time crunch” and give “the unified Democratic government” time to use budget reconciliation procedures to pass a standalone debt limit increase.
On “Hannity,” the host called the potential move a “lifeline” to Schumer regardless of intent.
“Radical Democrats on Capitol Hill have a brand new hero — with their multi-trillion-dollar socialist agenda now stalled in Congress, Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is throwing them a lifeline,” he said.
” In a backroom agreement, McConnell agreed that the debt ceiling would be raised, which gave Democrats more time for a process called “reconciliation” in order to push through their socialist agenda. Hannity said. He urged McConnell “to stop being a Washington swamp-creature” and to act like a conservative. “
“If he can’t do that, he needs to step aside – God only knows what will happen in reconciliation. “
Hannity stated that McConnell’s conduct is one of the reasons he registered as a Conservative in New York.
“He then referred to the fact that Donald Trump had defeated the GOP establishment during the 2016 primary elections.
He stated that he agreed with South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham that McConnell shouldn’t consider raising the debt ceiling, as Democrats would bring in trillions in new taxes, spending and welfare programs within a short time.
Hannity said that Americans cannot rely on moderate Democrats such as Manchin to maintain their current position.
He stated that the Democrat lawmaker “changes her mind every 30 minute” and would assent to the majority of reckless spending in current legislation.
