Homan on ‘Fox & Friends’: Biden’s CBP nominee is ‘perfect choice’ for open border policies

Fox News contributor Tom Homan told “Fox & Friends” on Thursday that President Biden‘s pick to lead U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Chris Magnus, would be the “perfect choice” for open borders. On Tuesday night, Senator Todd Young (R-Ind.) asked Magnus if there was a crisis at the border. The former Tucson police chief did not acknowledge there was a border crisis.

BIDEN BORDER NOMINEE REFUSES TO CALL MIGRANT SURGE A ‘CRISIS,’ CLAIMS NO ‘READY-TO-GO PLAN’ TO SOLVE IT

TOM HOMAN: I was a little disappointed in the hearing. He should have been hammered harder. They would have done more if it was Trump’s nominee. He was pro-sanctuary, refused to cooperate with ICE in Tucson, when he was chief. His officers tried behind the scenes to help, but he told them to not assist immigration authorities.

He went against Donald Trump from day one, said his policies were inhumane, and bottom line, he fails to recognize that Donald Trump created the most secure border in my lifetime. If this administration is looking for open borders, he’s the ideal choice. CBP personnel who just want to perform their duties and protect the border are not going to choose him.
