“Byrd is terrific and we had a great 25 year run. The statement said that this was a new show with an all new cast and exciting energy.

Unfortunately, the famous bailiff was not able to devote too much of his attention to not being asked to join “Judy Justice.” He spent his free time caring for Makita BondByrd, his wife after filming finished on “Judge Judy.” After working as a producer for “Judge Judy”, she was invited to join “Judy Justice” but her health issues prevented that.

The outlet reports that she had just completed her third round of chemotherapy and was about to undergo brain surgery, where doctors successfully removed 95 percent of a tumor. After the worst of his family strife was behind him, Byrd says he gave his former boss a call to ask her if he should plan to be involved with her new show after working with her since 1996.

WHAT IS JUDGE JUDY’S NET WORTH?

“She informed me I was not being asked to come along on the project,” Byrd explained. I didn’t ask why she chose that. She did tell me, however, that I had been priced out fundamentally as her bailiff for the new show. It would have been far too high. It was fascinating to me: What would she have known? She didn’t ask me. I was not offered a reduced salary. “
